Chanel Tattoos in Selfridges
Chanel is with no doubt one of my favourite brands for vintage clothing and accessories but I also love the current Chanel style and, of course, Karl Lagerfeld's genius.
But...but, to be sincere, I really can't understand and appreciate these Chanel temporary tattoos. Designed by Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, the transfers tattoos called Les Trompe L'Oeil de Chanel can be found online at 75$ on the Chanel website and, starting tomorrow, they will also be available in Selfridges at 49£.
I wonder if wearing this temporary skin art with 'double C' logo included is really in line with the idea of luxury and quality that a customer (and authentic Chanel lover) would expect from the Chanel brand. What do you think?

Fashion and Accessories Vintage Kerry Taylor Auction - 16 March 2010
A Kerry Taylor auction is guarantee of authentic, pure and sublime vintage. One of the youngest auctioneers in the history, after years working for Sotheby's, Kerry Taylor started up her own independent auction house specialising in the costume and textiles in 2003. Since then, she's been holding the best vintage auctions in the world. Last auction in December 2009 included many items from Audrey Hepburn's wordrobe.
The next aution is scheduled for March 16th. Some 300 lots will be on sale including pieces from every decade from the 18th century to the 1990s. Don't miss out a stylish 1960s Balenciaga coat, and Thierry Mugler suits from 1980s.
For the first Kelly Taylor action of 2010, a charity event will be opening the sale, a collection of celebrity-owned dresses, auctioned by Topshop, in support of Help the Aged and Age Concern, including dresses worn by Kate Moss, Dita Von Teese and Scarlett Johannson.

Frock Me! Vintage Fair - Chelsea 14th February 2010
Tomorrow don't miss out Frock Me!, vintage fashion fair at the Chelsea Town Hall. Held several times a year in London and Brighton (check next dates here) Frock Me! brings together top vintage dealers and collections including vintage clothing and accessories from 1920s to 1980s.
Started off in the mid 90s by Matthew Adams, Frock Me! has become one of the most important and beloved fairs in London for the high quality of items you can find there. Top designers and celebrities can often be spotted amongst the crowds searching for one-off fashion finds.
Personally, I went to Frock Me! for the first time last December and made a very good deal: a Bottega Veneta leather bag for just 35£! Simply beautiful!
Doors open at 11 and entrance ticket is £ 4 (2£ for students)
After shopping, don't forget to have tea and cupcakes at the Vintage Tea Room as all profits will go to Oxfam's Haiti Earthquake Appeal.
